Kaetlyn Osmond Arena was buzzing with activity during the Marystown Minor Hockey Action that took place from November 6-12, 2023. The Monday night game saw some action in the Female Hockey U18 Scotiabank Division. Meanwhile, in the Wally Drakes Trucking U18 Division, Aylwards Home Hardware faced off against Stellar Equipment in a tight game that ended with a 4-3 win for Aylwards Home Hardware, their third win in a row.
The Tuesday evening Tim Hortons U7 Minor Timbits House League hour was a great opportunity for the tiny and eager players to learn the game. The U7 Minor Co-Operators Players of the Week for this week were Jackson Ducey of Timbit STARS, Logan Ducey of Timbit FLYERS, and Shae Brown of Timbit KINGS.
The Pike's Building Supplies U15 Minor Division was back in action on Thursday night with Marybrown's taking on Clear Focus. TD Bank's Players of the Week for this division were Kurtis Badcock of Marybrowns and Mackenzie Clarke of Clear Focus.
The Scotiabank U18 Female Division teams had their final game of the week. Amber Ducey of Pizza Delight and Lilly Dominaux of Stellar Transport were named Hickman Motors Burin Players of the Week.
The Wally Drakes Trucking U18 Minor Division played their second game of the week, which ended with another win for Aylwards Home Hardware. The Lions Club Players of the Week for this division were Ryan Dominie of Aylwards Home Hardware and Michael Farrell of Stellar Equipment.
Friday night is always an exciting start to the weekend for the McDonald's U11 AtoMc Division. It's GAME Night!!! AtoMc Black and AtoMc White battled it out. The fans and coaches were completely engaged in the game with some awesome goals and some pretty incredible saves, ending in a 7-7 TIE! Goalies Peyton Hanrahan of AtoMc Black and Hayden Flannigan of AtoMc White were named BrokerLink Players of the Week.
Burin 1 Stop Shop's U13 Female Division featured Canadian Tire taking on Rene's Autobody. Marystown Ultramar's Players of the Week for this division were Bella Warren of Rene's Autobody and Avery Murley of Canadian Tire.
The Grant Thornton's U13 Minor Division saw Community Credit Union taking on Sobeys. Sobeys took the win with 10-7 finish over Community Credit Union. Marystown Ultramar's players of the week for this division were Ryder Dominaux of Community Credit Union and Andrew Billard of Sobeys.
In the Peninsula Castle Building Supplies' U15 Female Division, Rene's Autobody played Remax, and the co-operator players of the week were Lily Brushett of Rene's Autobody and Kasey Butler of Remax.
On Saturday, the Canadian Tire U9 Minor Division returned to the ice for their last hour of the week. The Picco, White, McCarthy Players of the Week were Vincent Bradbury of Brenton Group and Riley Hodder of Hotel Marystown.
The new Tim Hortons U7 Female Division and U9 Female Divisions finished off their week on Sunday afternoon. The U7 Female Canadian Tire Players of the Week were Chloe Drake of Timbit PINK and Norah Hickman of Timbit PURPLE. Meanwhile, the FUN 4 Kids U9 Female Players of the Week were Salt Pond Esso player Abigail Brake and Allie Coady of MMHA.
